Alp Afyonluoglu

I am a self-motivated backend developer and deep-learning enthusiast. It is my senior year studying computer science/engineering at Bilkent University, and I also contribute as a part-time backend support engineer at Jotform. I consider myself a quick learner software engineer and strive to prioritize efficient planning and time management. I am eager to explore topics that challenge and expand the boundaries of algorithms in unique and creative ways. I am passionate about seamless integration of self-learning and intuitive systems into daily life.

I am interested in distributed systems and deep generative networks. While primarily focusing on backend development, I am actively exploring deep learning related areas. With my current skill set, I can code backend and frontend of web apps, as a full-stack developer, while focusing on architectural patterns and styles. I can manage relational databases, host projects on GCP, and develop native Android apps. I am continually seeking opportunities to improve my skills and expand my industry knowledge.

Outside of the software realm, I love music and find joy in playing the drums, photography, tango dancing, chess matches and hiking. I also enjoy designing user interfaces and occasionally developing hardware prototypes with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Aiming to challenge myself, I sometimes participate in competitive programming competitions too.
